| This is how I want to spend Christmas for the rest of my life. Every 25th of December, I want to be found giving my best for a bunch of kids. Planning and setting up a service just so that the presence of God can fall in the place for every single one of them to get touched. It is simply magnificient seeing new kids step into the room, looking pretty lost and hesitant, not sure whether they belong there. But the games, the praise and worship.. All of that warms them up. And then the Word of God. That's when every word is so annointed, every word carries the weight of God and hits their hearts. That yes, it might be words, but they are the exact words they need to hear. And when it's time for the altar call.. I love it. Everything is all right for the Holy Spirit to move in the place. Even the hardest of them all will break because that's how real and powerful God is.
You can't fake it with kids. It's all real to them.

| Just recalled some more thoughts from service last weekend. So powerful. Though it was a sermon on Real Man, it was still impactful to me. (:
"Making a wrong decision is better than making no decision at all"
What is worse, 1) giving your best shot then feeling sad about your mistakes (which can then be learnt from) or 2) not even giving a shot & miss out on a possibly greatest outcome ever?
Let's not be afraid of making decisions.
"Nice is like another word for compromise"
Know when to turn the other cheek, when not to. Being nice can mean forsaking the right things one should do.
Just be firm, stand for what's right.

| I like to pen down my thoughts. Be it on paper or through this lj, it allows me to think clearer many a time. (: I always love to think good/positive thoughts. Haha.
Then again.. good thoughts I realised, can come with bad thoughts that attack the good ones.
Thinking good/positively doesn't mean thinking naive/nice.
When I think of exams, I think that I will do well for it (with the fact that I'm gonna study hard for it).
I don't think naive, I don't think I will do well for my papers simply just in a blink of an eye.
"When you want something you've never had before, you got to do something you've never done before"
Then again when I think good thoughts, eg, I think "I can pass my Physics sub-paper (supplementary paper) well, I will do it".
Sometimes bad thoughts come in and say "It's not easy you know.. Have you been studying much?"
You know.. Such thoughts try to deceive me many times, not just in the area of schoolwork, but in all areas of life.
There're times in life when things spiral up, but somehow at a moment you just trip without exactly knowing which step you tripped over at, and things spiral back down.
But thing is, you can stop the downward-spiraling on your own. Just decide to. Yes, it's true it may take more from you to escalate back to the top or go even higher than before, but it just depends on whether you're willing to.
I've also realised going against the gravity of reality isn't easy, but I thank God for pre-made decisions.. pre-made decisions to stand for my convictions and beliefs even when things seem blurred.
It's when I stick to such promises, that I realise how I much I need God in my life.. I needed Him, and I still need Him much more than ever. Can't do things alone, not to even mention by my own strength.
I thank God for Him not just being my God, but also for being my Father, and my Best Friend, who's always with me.
Wow, thank You for putting a smile on my face during the storm, letting me know things will be okay and great. (:
Oh yah, PS: I'm gonna be studying REAL HARD over the next 2 weeks while Christmas happenings are still going on, amidst all the fun and stuff. Just a week and a little more to go, and my supp-paper will be over! (: Things are going to be great, AMEN! | | comments: Click to say! |

One evening when I reached home from school, I found Ruan (my green stuffed toy) in bro's room. He actually took it without my permission, reason being he likes it and it's v comfy to use as pillow. HAHA.
I was very amused because it's like the first time he 'stole' a SOFT TOY from me, something that's not food-related. It's usually me stealing his stuff, HAHA ;)
Anyway, I'm very very excited for Christmas!!
So many events/happenings going on. :D
I think church is the best place to celebrate christmas.. With the smiliest people around, best atmosphere, whole lot of excitement, total awesome-ness! :)
I also can't wait to meet up with all my I-need-to-meet-friends aka 4S1 peeps, Joyline, Jessie, etc.
Oh yes, SHERMAINE! It seems like years since I met her though it's been just a week?! Haha. I just miss being in school with her lah. :>
And and, to Rosanne.. We should have a deliberate date soon, not just coincidental dates. HAHA :)
